Your dues are really appreciated and so are these kind notes that have been included from our wonderful neighbors! We have the BEST neighborhood, thanks to YOU!
Door hangers have been distributed throughout the neighborhood. Dues are only $25 check or cash or $26.50 via PayPal. Help us maintain the neighborhood entrances and provide our annual activities - Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July Parade and Party and the Fall Festival and 5K Run. Checks can be sent to PO Box 8656, Fort Worth, TX 76124 or dropped in the mail slot at 704 Candlewood Road.
We are collecting email addresses for an electronic newsletter distribution list. If you would like to be included, please return the form attached to the DUES door hanger that arrived at your house.
We are also putting together a Neighborhood Directory for residents who want to participate. Participants will receive a copy of the printed Directory. To be included, fill out your information on the form which was attached to the DUES door hanger.
The forms can be mailed in the envelope provided or dropped in the mail slot at 704 Candlewood Road. You can also bring them to our next meeting on Monday, March 11, 7pm at East Fort Worth Montessori Academy, located at Randol Mill & Lake Havasu Trail.
Residents in 580 houses in White Lake Hills have diverse religious backgrounds, celebrating this time of year with Christmas, Hanukkah, Eid al-Fitr and Bodhi in both private and public ways. Christians are known for decorating yards and the outsides of their homes with plenty of colorful lights, while Jews, Moslems and Buddhists choose to worship God, Allah and Buddha, respectively, in more restrained ways.
This year has turned out to be a banner year with over 200 houses being decorated in lights to recognize the Christmas / Hanukkah holiday season. Whether a single lighted Christmas tree, Menorahs in the window, or elaborate yard and house decorations that are too varied to describe, our neighborhood looks simply amazing.
Dozens of yards were decorated far better than in many earlier years, making it hard to judge them and still be fair to everyone, but we did our best.
Here are the six yards we awarded for 2023:
257 Willow Ridge
300 Cedar Creek Ct.
5025 Rock River
4859 Marble Falls Ct
413 N. St. Charles
300 Chandler Lake Ct.
We've also included photos of a few dozen houses just to give you an idea of how hard judging was this year, but those pics don't do the houses justice. We encourage you to drive around and see how well your neighbors have done to bring the Spirit of the Season to all of us here in White Lake Hills
Best wishes for health and happiness to all of you.
** Thanks to Geoffrey Tate and Linda Fulmer for photos and message!!! **
Thanks to everyone who donated goodies, containers or time to this project. Goodies were delivered to Police and Firefighters on Sunday, Dec. 10. Code will get theirs on Monday, Dec. 11. We really appreciate these people who look after our neighborhood!
Our next meeting is this Monday, March 11 at 7pm. Come to the East Forth Worth Montessori Academy, 501 Oakland Blvd. We meet in the Gym behind the main building.
Lake Havasu Trail & Blue Lake Drive: Per Tara Holt from Councilmember Alan Blaylock's office, "There are two streets in the White Lake Hills neighborhood that will be repaved as part of a larger joint project with the water department. Once water has completed their work, Lake Havasu Trail from Randol Mill Road to Chandler Lake as well as Blue Lake Drive from the cul de sac to Raintree Road will be repaved."
This may make it hard to use the Lake Havasu Trail entrance while it's being repaved but it will be nice when it's done. The Blue Lake Drive repair will mainly affect the residents on the cul de sac beyond Raintree Road.
We still have large and extra large available. If you would like one, call or text Terri Bailey at 817-504-0057.
** We also have 2 vintage X-LG shirts available - $10 each!
